' The Finger Writes. By E. Norman Torry. (T. Fisher
Unwin. 7s. 6d. net.)—A first novel which, although it is full of faults, is written with a certain swing and go. When the author learns more of his art, his natural qualities may enable him some day to produce something worth reading. The chapters at the end of the book on the Matabele War are full of adventure and excitement.
