- - - We record with very peat regret the
news that the Kaiser,
.who has only just recovered from a tiresome boil on his wrist, is now suffering from an affection of the right knee which compels him to abandon all engagements for the immediate future. The official bulletin, though it declares that there is no cause for alarm, is so vaguely worded that there appears to have been a good deal of anxiety in Berlin. The immediate cause of the swelling in the'knee appears to have been a ride in the neighbourhood of Potsdam. We sincerely trust that a few days' rest may restore the German Emperor to complete health.-
