Meleager and Other Poets of Jacob's Anthology. Edited by Viscount
Harberton. (J. Parker and Co.)—Viscount Harberton suggests "a new edition of Jacob's Anthology,' with improved text and commentary." The volume before us is described by him as "a slight contribution." The epigrams of Meleager and a variety of poets as far as Leonidas of Alexandria are given with critical and exegetical notes. There must be fifteen hundred or more, among the chief authors being Meleager, Plato, Leonidas, 2Esdepiades, Callimachus, and the two Antipaters. It is a con- venient little volume ; and we take it as an earnest of more to come.
