Sir: You welcome the Immigration Bill, and rightly say that
we are entitled to admit whom we choose, and that we may well prefer people of our own type (6 March).
However, it is rather hard to understand why the Government are spending much time and money on this Bill when they intend to drag us into the Common Market, which requires absolutely free im- migration from the Six, including the French overseas departments, in a few years the Turks, and in general anyone whom any of the other member states care to naturalise.
