Hatchard's.)—This is "an experimental list of worthies, unworthies, and villains born in the county." Mr. Humphreys contents himself, for the present at least, with the bare facts of parentage, birth, and death concerning a very miscellaneous list of persons who happen to have been born in Somersetshire. Among the names in "A" and " B " are Walter Bagehot, Baynes (T. S.), Bishop Beckington, Paul Bedford, Bisse, R. Blake, nor will the other letters be found less fertile.
