THE RED BIRD IN THE GREEN PARK
[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR,—If the red bird in the Green Park is entirely red, it answers to my recollection of the cardinal bird of Mauritius. The cardinal bird of America, called also the Virginian nightingale, is said to have some black about it.—I am, Sir, &c., Lucas Hospital, Wok-ingham. W. H. WHITING.
