The Trial at Rome of Queen Elizabeth for Heresy, A.D.

Certain English ecclesiastics, who had been expelled from their preferments, testified to their experiences. Mr. Tomlinson takes the opportunity of insisting that doctrines claimed as Anglican were expressly excluded by the testimony given on this occasion. A more im- portant question is, Does the Pope claim the power of summoning princes to his judgment bar ?
