The discussion of the grant for a physiological laboratory at
Oxford is coming on again on Tuesday next, and we hope that all members of Convocation who object to seeing a new stimulus given to the cruelties of vivisection in Oxford, will make it their business to attend. The new Professor, Dr. Burdon Sanderson, a man of the very highest ability and power, is a zealot for the prosecution of informing physiological experiments in England at any cost of anguish—anguish which, no doubt, he desires to minimise—that may be necessary to achieve the desired result.
