[To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR.] SIR,—The letter of Mr.
E. Hockley in your last issue is very unfair. If he suggests that the " National Church " should produce a cure for the un- emp/oyment question, then he is asking for something economists and politicians are unable to solve.
If he suggests that the clergy are doing nothing to carry out the charge of Christ to " Feed my sheep," the accusation is untrue. Every parish priest is striving his utmost by personal and self-sacrificing service to relieve the hardships of the victims of the unfortunate economic system.
