A "professor of journalism" seems to be a peculiarly American

institution. From the luciferous and sensible volume on Newspaper Writing and Editing (Constable and (Jo., 6s. net) which has been written by Dr. W. G. Bleyer, who holds that post in the University of Wisconsin, we should think that he exerts a very wholesome influence.
