This book is an annual record of international photographic work, which has now been published for twenty-seven years. The plates are excellent, but while much in the volume is evidence of the continued improvement of photography and of the artistic sense• of photographers, there remains an un- pleasant theatricality which dominates their compositions. There are signs, however, of a healthy infancy.
