Ali announced publicly that he was the forerunner of a Manifestation. Nineteen years later Hosein Ali, a Persian prince of purest Aryan lineage, an- nounced himself as that Manifestation and took the title of Baha'o'llah, or the Glory of God. He died in 1892 and designated his oldest son, Abdul Balm, to carry on his work. The believers in Bahaism, holding to the ideals of peace and universal brotherhood, desire to co-ordinate the religions of the world and use to the full, without the waste of sectarian rivalry, the religious impulse in man.
