At the meeting of shareholders of the Yokohama Specie Bank

held in Japan on the 10th inst. the Report and Accounts were approved, the statement showing that the net profit, including 6,000,000 yen brought into the account, was 15,179,000 yen. The conservative policy which has always characterized this bank was again shown by the fact that the dividend was reduced slightly to 10 per cent., while a con- siderable increase is noticeable in the reserve.
