Matriculation make mechanics compulsory. This volume, which is confined to

kinematics, dynamics, and statics, is issued to meet the requirements of future students. The author also intends to

supply a similar treatise for each of the optional subjects,—

chemistry, heat and light, and electricity and magnetism. A large number of examples are given from the B.A. and B.Sc., and from the Cambridge Local Examinations. The student will find plenty of mathematics in this volume, and should find it useful as. an exercise-book.
