The Army Council have decided to experiment with aero- planes
at the approaching manceuvres. Certain well-known aviators have been asked to put their services at the disposal of the Army from September 21st to September 24th. The area of manceuvres will be south of a line from Aldershot to Glastonbury. Captain Bertram Dickson, we learn from the Times, has already accepted the invitation. The aeroplanes will be used, we suppose, for reconnaissance, but that cannot be very effective unless passengers are carried. We refer elsewhere to the progress which has been made in this and other respects.
