The Annual of the British School at Athens (Macmillan and

Co., 7s. Gd.) carries on the story of the excavations at Phylakopi (the prehistoric site in Melos), which have been intermitted for a time, and also of those at Naucratis. Mr. C. D. Edmonds contributes a paper on " Some Doubtful Points of Thessalian Topography." We would willingly give a realise: of these interesting papers, but must be content with commending the work of which they furnish examples to the favourable notice of our readers.
