We have dealt elsewhere with the question pending between Austria-Hungary
and Servia in regard to a port on the Adriatic, and will only say here that there seems reason to believe that a peaceful settlement will be attained. The Triple Alliance, we are quite sure, does not want to bring on a struggle with the Triple Entente when the Triple Entente will be reinforced by Bulgaria and her colleagues. Further, we do not believe that in the last resort Austria-Hungary wants to stand forth as the essential and perpetual enemy of the Southern Slays. It is evident that the Bulgarian statesmen have played and are playing a wise and sane rae throughout the negotiations.
