We have great pleasure in noticing Vol. III. of Picturesque
Ceylon, by Henry W. Cave, M.A. The first and second parts of the series have met everywhere—and in Ceylon itself as much as elsewhere—with well-deserved appreciation. We are glad to find Mr. Cave carrying on his work. The region that he illus- trates this time is " Nuwara Eliya and Adam's Peak." To say
that this book is as worthy of its subject as its predecessors is praise enough.
