The Parson's Daughter. By Emma Marshall. (Seeley and Co. 5s.)—This

story was left unfinished at Mrs. Marshall's death, and has been completed by her daughter, a task that has been well done. The tale is constructed, so to speak, round some of George Romney and Gaiusborough's pictures. One serves for

the heroine of the tale,—Marjorie Willoughby is the "Parson's Daughter" ; the beautiful "Mother and Child" is used to picture to us Lady Mervyn, Marjorie's kind friend, and Bebe, her pupil. Osineborough's "Parish Clerk" has his part in the little drama, and, of course, we have a glimpse of the majestic figure of Mrs. Siddons. It is a pretty tale, and excellently illustrated.
