[To TUC EDITOR OF THE "SP ECTATO SIB,—Will you allow the suggestion that the three. should meet in a calm and loving confidence that the reign of God is the reign of Infinite Perfection ? And most certainly, as you say, the worst intellectual enemy of any such confidence is superstition of any sort. May I add that I saw a splendid simile the other day? "The Christian religions and reason," said a great man who understands our times, "are like the fingers and thumb. If either side is wanting, the band can take but a poor grasp."—I am, Sir, &c.,
