SACRILEGE.
(To TEE EDITOR or Tam .SPECTATOR."1 SIR,—The logical outcome of Mr. Lloyd George's speech on May 16th should be to restore the lands and money to the Roman Catholic Church. The dissolution of monasteries gave to various families the wealth and property which belonged entirely to the Roman Catholic Church. If Mr. Lloyd George is so distressed at the sin of " sacrilege " in " robbing the altars," he will doubtless restore the " stolen " (P) property to the rightful owners. I hold no brief for the Roman Catholics, but on Mr. Lloyd George's own confession he is " robbing Peter to pay Paul."—I am, Sir, &c.,
