The Coun.ty. of. London, including the City, has a population

of 4,423,24?, or 38,436 less than before. On the other hand, the " Outer Ring " of suburbs contains 2,992,919 people, or 263,246 more. Greater London'a total population is 7,476,168, or 224,810 more than in 1911. It contains, therefore, about 800,000 more people than Australia and New Zealand combined, and nearly as many people as Canada. Greater London has increased by ley 3.1 per cent., as compared with 10.2 per cent. in the ten years up to 1911. The check may only be temporary, but it is clear that the administrative County at least has reached its natural limits of population, and that Londoners are moving farther afield.
