MEMORIAL TABLETS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.
[To THE EDITOR 01 TH1 " SPECTATOR:I
Sin,—In connection with the suggestion made in your columns (June 21st last), and to the approval you expressed of it, you will be glad to know that in a Kentish village Board- school, that of Mottingham, a memorial tablet giving the names of former scholars who fell during the late war has been affixed. In Country Life for September 27th there is a photograph of it, with particulars. Hoping that your approval may lead other Board-school managers to follow the example.
